Engine Block Drain Cover
The MCS original design! This cover is the replacement for the factory block drain/engine block heater housing. Being the lowest part of the cooling system in the block, it is often filled with sediment and over the years corrodes from the inside out. Often overlooked until it is too late, this area should be opened when doing a coolant service, to properly empty the coolant that is retained in the block. Since the block heater accessory is not commonly used, a simpler, easier-to-service, plate has been designed to replace the original cast housing.
The cover is machined flat from 6061 aluminum and includes all stainless steel hardware and an o-ring seal. This seal makes it possible to remove and replace the plate for drainage without needing to replace a gasket every time and gives easier access to the mounting screws.
