Not all conversion kits are created equal! Over a decade of development, improvement and fine-tuning, this kit makes it easy to get your 900 to the next level of performance and reliability. MCS has become synonymous with Trionic 5 conversions on the SAAB 900 Classic around the globe. Often imitated, but never replicated. * Early flywheels are upgraded to accept a 1990+ Turbo clutch and is recommended. Early clutch kits are not viable with the additional torque generated . If you have an extreme build, please email me and we can discuss other options. Flywheel core return required with kit purchase.
Kit Options:
Air Conditioning - If you have A/C function or will be adding it in the future , the A/C compressor harness will also be included.
Lightened Flywheel - The lightened flywheel improves engine responsiveness and turbo spool up characteristics without detrimentally impacting drivability. IF your car is LH 2.2 ('85-88) ,it is recommended (especially for cars with A/C) to add a speed signal generator (later speedometer swap or other methods) , however it is not required. Idle may dip low in certain off-throttle situations otherwise.
Tuning Interface - Harness will be populated with CANBUS, programming voltage and wideband o2 inputs for data logging and live tuning. This is done through the OBDII port with compatible interfaces.
Recommended Add-Ons:
APC Upgrade - The Trionic5 ECU is modified to be able to run the stock APC solenoid valve. The upgrade provides a newer-style OEM quality boost control solenoid, new hose kit and mounting adapter. The harness will be setup with the correct plug if purchased with the conversion kit.
Idle Control Valve - Required for Jetronic LH2.2 (US 1985-1989) , Lucas injection (EU 1990+) or LH2.4.2 (2.1L N/A engines). 1989-1993/4 Turbo engine can keep the original valve if it is in good condition (check for leaks).
MAF Replacement Pipe - Optional replacement tube for use with the stock airbox, otherwise MAF can be kept in place and just left unplugged.
Air Temperature Weld Bung - Recommended for the OEM silver aluminum intercooler pipes on 90+ Turbo or aftermarket intercooler piping such as Do88. Not needed for the black cast aluminum IC pipes that can be drilled/tapped directly.
Billet Fuel Rail - A great upgrade for looks and performance . Removes the necessity to modify the injector lands or rail clips with the “Green Giant” injectors.
Clutch Kit - “Early” (Pre-1990) core flywheels are re-drilled to accept a 1990+ Turbo clutch which is a 228mm pressure plate as early clutch kits are not viable with the additional torque generated . If you have an extreme build, please email me and we can discuss other options.

Your original flywheel is to be returned as a core (details provided) , otherwise a $125 core charge will be applied your payment method.
