Here is another puzzle piece in the quest to create a great shifting experience in your classic 900. Along with the short-shifter and weighted shift knob, the replacement of this bushing set is the solution for a worn or cracked housing bushing set. Normally these bushings are extremely hard to replace due to the fact that the shift linkage had to be disconnected from the transmission in order to swap out the rubber donut bushing. This bushing set was designed to be replaced in-situ. The nylon piece is snapped over the selector shaft and split polyurethane bush lock together with just access to the housing. You’ll still need to open up the housing, so be sure to have a way to remove the special tri-lobe security nuts. Custom socket is available below.
